A #Storybox is a wonderful tool to help kids with disabilities engage with a story through touch and other senses instead of relying solely on their vision. Throughout this series, Laura will share the different ways we use #Storyboxes at Perkins and how you can make one at home!
Imagine looking through healthy eyes, but your brain can’t make sense of what you see. That’s what life is like for many kids with the leading cause of childhood blindness. But with more awareness, early diagnosis, and trained educators, we can change lives for kids with #CVI.

Today, we're celebrating #DisabilityPride in Serbia with Sofija! Sofija enjoys going to school and working with her Perkins-trained teachers, Elena and Jasmina, who make learning fun for her every day by planning daily activities that she can apply school and home settings.
