Horses--most of them homebreds, Kana Tape is the rare exception to this--carrying Fipke silks have won stakes races in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Japan, and the U.S. throughout the years.
This is Mr. Fipke's 1st stakes win in Japan, where he's one of few outside owners with a racing license. Although Mr. Fipke does keep a broodmare in Japan, KANA TAPE was an auction purchase, bred by Mr. Fipke's friends at Northern Farm. Dam Ticker Tape was a 2xG1W in N. America.
