Albany recently passed a bill to ban one-person train operation (OPTO), blocking the @MTA from even testing a cost-saving idea used safely in cities like London and Tokyo—and already in use on some MTA shuttle trains. My latest in @CityJournal shows how this move puts union…

With just 4 employees in his reg. office, Youngkin has: -eliminated over 1/4 of Virginia's regulations -struck 11.5 million words -saved residents $1.2B per year -reduced cost of building a new house by $24,000 New from me @NRO h/t @JamesBroughel nationalreview.com/corner/youngki…
My first in the @NYPostOpinion: I’ve spent years close to Dems who genuinely care about creating prosperity. Zohran Mamdani’s vision of class warfare doesn’t reflect what most of them believe – or what most Americans want. It’s raw Socialism. Read here: trib.al/tr0J5vw
A measure requiring the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to staff all subway trains with a train operator and a conductor would worsen the MTA’s already extraordinarily high operating costs, @PaulJDreyer writes.
My latest from @CityJournal:
The New York State Legislature passed a measure requiring the MTA to staff all subway trains with two personnel: a train operator and a conductor. If enacted, it would benefit the city’s powerful transit-worker unions, while undermining the MTA’s efforts to boost efficiency.
I was born in Stony Brook, attended school in Port Jefferson Station, and went to summer camp in East Setauket. Brookhaven is my home. But thanks to the failed policies of @NYDems like Assemblywoman Rebecca “Tax-ay,” many Long Islanders can’t afford to stay here. Link below.
This is a policy failure.

Bans on AI in the classroom in the name of equity would blunt students’ development and might also increase academic inequality. Sydney Flisser explains:
In @TheFP, MI's @realchrisrufo distills a higher education initiative that calls on President Trump to advance six principles for reform: truth over ideology, institutional neutrality, colorblind equality, free speech, civil discourse, and administrative transparency.
“Since taking office in January, President Donald Trump has been engaged in a high-stakes conflict with America’s elite universities and, by proxy, American universities as a whole. The administration’s supporters have applauded the president’s decision to strip billions of…
New poll: 40% Mamdani 24% Cuomo 15% Adams 14% Sliwa If Cuomo & Adams joined forces, they could beat Mamdani. If Cuomo, Adams, & Sliwa joined forces, they would beat Mamdani. These politicians refuse to consolidate NYC's anti-socialist majority—history will not forget them.
Imagine telling a woman being abused by her partner and that if she calls for help the city is going to send social workers with soft voices instead of cops with handcuffs.

Fun story — when I was living in Brooklyn, I would hear my super downstairs assault his girlfriend/wife almost every night. At the time, I was swallowing progressive propaganda about not calling the police, so I called the landlord, a community safety service, the property…

Thrilled for my colleague @AbigailShrier—once again diving headfirst into one of the most pressing challenges facing Gen Z.
It's official! Incredibly excited to share this with you.
Excited for this new video series we're launching @ManhattanInst dubbed "Tech and the City" where we riff on the key tech policy challenges confronting the U.S. Here, I talk about the unprecedented decision for the gov to acquire a golden share in U.S. Steel — and why it stands…
Introducing Tech and the City, a new series covering the latest in tech policy. @DannyCrichton breaks down the U.S. government’s new “golden share” in U.S. Steel—granting control without capital—and why it could set a dangerous precedent for American capitalism.
The doctor shortage is not due to lack of interest in becoming a doctor. It's due to a lack of slots.
Medical schools have warned the loan cap could discourage students from going into medicine at a time when the country is on track to have a shortage of as many as 86,000 physicians by 2036, according to the Association of American Medical Colleges. nbcnews.com/politics/congr…
