I’m done with school boards that work outside of their mandate and refuse to make the right decisions to support students and teachers in the classroom.
It was great meeting with @otffeo President Mike Foulds to discuss our shared priorities and ensure we're aligned in helping students succeed and supporting teachers across the province.

Thank you Saint Francis Catholic School for the tour. I saw a committed faculty working hard to provide practical learning and support for their students, keeping it fun and engaging even through the summer months.

Beautiful day for Chariot Fest in Markham-Stouffville. A celebration of culture and a great way for our community to connect.

Always great to celebrate several birthdays with a BBQ. A special Happy Birthday to the members of the Stouffville Legion who celebrated birthdays in the 90+ club Saturday night.

It was a pleasure meeting with @AFOCSC this morning to discuss key school priorities, supporting French language education, and ensuring teachers have what they need to continue their great work.

Thank you to Harriet Tubman Public School in St. Catharines for the warm welcome and tour. It was great to see your summer program in action, and your high school volunteers dedicating their time over their break to support young children.

Great to see the major transformation underway at Fitch Street Public School in Welland. Excited for students who will be returning in September to a space designed with care, opportunity, safety, and student experience in mind.

I am deeply concerned, angry and frustrated with the findings of a recent report on antisemitism in Ontario schools. Schools must be a safe place for every student to learn in a respectful and supportive environment. I expect school boards across the province to focus on…
Honoured to award medals to @SOOntario athletes from across Ontario last week. Your focus, effort, and determination are something to be proud of! Congratulations on a job well done.
Grateful for the warm welcome I received last week at Welland Regional Child Care, and for the opportunity to learn about the incredible work they do to support our youngest learners — even through the summer months. Thank you!

I am focused on listening to parents and teachers about how we can set students up for success. This week, I visited the @HaltonDSB Alexander’s Public School in Burlington to see students making the most of summer learning.

Learning doesn’t stop over the summer. Today I visited John William Boich Public School in Burlington, where students are building literacy and math skills. Programs like these show what’s possible when resources go where they’re needed most: directly to the classroom.
