Few fragments of a Gupta-era Mahabharata manuscript have survived, and their text exactly matches the Mahabharata we have today. These fragments were found in Eastern Turkestan Pc @chronicle_watch
I have doubts about the authenticity of the Mahabharata. It's impossible for a colossal work of 3 - 4 million words to be preserved using fragile carriers like leaves and tree barks. It's most likely that it was fabricated by later generations.
Saw the Hathibada inscription in Udaipur Government Museum. This, along with the Dhana inscription of Ayodhya, are the two oldest Sanskrit inscriptions that we are currently aware of. And yes, I’ve now seen them both up close!

Didn't the ending phoneme a/ā in Saṁskr̥ta words change into e and not ai when loaned into Kannaḍa? This is attested from examples in inscriptions.

Ch. Shivaji never fought chikka odeyar of mysore, non-kannada contemporary sources don't mention this "so called battle" But According to kannada sources, shivaji conquered bijapur, destroyed delhi & humbled aurangzeb with 1 lakh troops, but defeated by "mighty" chikka odeyar 😂
Since nobody has been able to find a source that says Sivaji fought Chikkaraja Wodeyar, here it is. History of Mysore Vol 1, by C.H. Rao, page 283-284. Read the highlighted text, I always talk with reference, Sanghis do your homework before you blabber!!
Much appreciated. But,according to me, there was no need for modifying the IAST. The @ncert just needed to adopt the ISO 15919 System of Transliteration, which is best suited to Romanise alphabets of all Indo-Aryan & Dravidian languages, and it is the most comprehensive as well.
So NCERT now uses a modified version of IAST in textbooks finally
This isn't just any seal—it's proof of the Bhartiya's 5,000-year-old mastery in double-hulled sea-faring shipbuilding. Have they told you this secret? #Archaeology
A reference to Pandavas in Laos The 5th century Vat Luong Kau inscription of king Devanika of Laos, lists his qualities highlighting he is steadfast in Dharma like Yudhishthira & defeats enemy troops like Dhananjaya (Arjuna) युधिष्ठिर इव सद्धर्म्मस्थितौ धनञ्जय इव रिपुगणःविजये
