New year, new intro! Entering year 4 of my PhD, I’m diving into my dissertation on intersectional stigma and substance use. I’m passionate about my clinical work and advocacy for harm reduction, pushing for equitable, evidence-based mental healthcare for marginalized communities!

We had a great time this past weekend at our annual Community Appreciation BBQ! We served hot dogs and burgers, distributed harm reduction and hygiene supplies, and connected with the community. Thank you to our community members and volunteers for keeping each other safe!

Presented at the 20th Annual Judd Symposium! Our community-driven project is helping prepare local clinics & pharmacies for the rollout of long-acting injectable PrEP —with a focus on equity & sustainability in implementation. #EPIS #HIVPrevention #ImplementationScience

🚨 Out now in Current Psychology: Our new study explored how stigma and prejudice, across structural, interpersonal, and intrapersonal levels, function as a socioecological system to oppress sexual minority individuals and harm their mental health. link.springer.com/article/10.100…

Did you know flowers can tell time? 🌼🕰️ In the 1700s, botanist Carl Linnaeus dreamed up a “flower clock” made of plants that open and close at specific hours of the day. 🌸💡 Imagine a garden where blooms unfold like clock hands—dandelions at 8 a.m., goat’s beard by noon, and…

My feed is a mess—AI junk, pop culture hot takes, zero science. Did all the researchers leave? Even the “following” tab is falling apart. Where’s the good stuff?
Been building my Addiction Archive—a personal library of books, shows, and podcasts about drugs and the people who use them. Chasing the Scream is the one that started it all. Fourth read, and I’m still floored. If you’re into drug policy, trauma, or the war on drugs—start here.

Harm Reduction is not a pathway to recovery - It is a movement to end Prohibition and its harms on our communities
The CDC has literally been gutted today. There’s no need for “April Fools” when reality is a nightmare for every human on this planet. Thousand of scientists fired. Entire departments erased. 1/
Something that is constantly missing form the conversation on overdose: not everyone is suffering. Drugs are pretty awesome. This whole drugs are bad narrative is a bunch of Prohibitionist nonsense. All drugs have purpose, strengths and limitations.
Inspiring symposium at #sbm2025 this morning on the impact of intersectional stigma and discrimination on HIV outcomes. Especially loved connecting with esteemed colleagues Drs. @SMeyersPantele, Jennifer Jain, Valerie Earnshaw, @morgan_philbin, and Laramie Smith 🙌🏼👏🏼 Thank you!

Stop by my poster (B99) at 11:00! Let’s talk about multiple discrimination, substance use, and intersectionality among people with HIV. See you there! #HIV #SubstanceUse #Discrimination #SBM2025
On my way to #SBM2025 to present the first aim of my dissertation research! Excited to see friends & colleagues—community feels more important than ever amid the ongoing attacks on academic research. #AcademicChatter #PhDLife
