In 2011, the NBA TV rights cost about $925M a year, compared to $771M for the NCAA tournament. In 2021, the NBA TV rights cost about $2,700M a year compared to $771M for the NCAA tournament. I would fight back pretty hard at any argument made that it saw "solid increases."
