PA Families for Education Choice
@PaEdChoice
Fighting for quality education for ALL Pennsylvania children, every day. RT ≠ endorsement
When we @edreform started helping states write great charter laws - and fighting those who didn’t - in 1993, we never dreamed they would produce some of the best and most innovative education pathways in the country. But we had a hunch… forbes.com/sites/yasspriz…
Just one example of the inefficiencies of the PA education system. There are better ways to reform than taking away funding from ANY student. Rightsizing Philadelphia’s schools won’t be easy — or popular — but it must be done | Opinion inquirer.com/opinion/commen… via…

“No parent should go to jail. No parent should be indicted. We have an opportunity to make it right… Let’s move forward beyond the lines. Let’s move towards freedom of education.” -@kelleywbolar, 2025 No More Lines Ambassador
You may agree or you may not. But you need to be aware. We appreciate this post series from @DeAngelisCorey 👇👇👇
I just found the National Education Association's 2025 handbook.
Truly shocking. When we tell you that the only choice some want is district education, we have good reason. We must protect parent rights. We must protect education choice. We must be free to raise and educate our children in the way we know is best.
The National Education Association's handbook says that "home schooling programs based on parental choice cannot provide the student with a comprehensive education experience." Oh, the irony.
"Governor Shapiro...can shepherd a deal between the [PA] Senate and House that ensures families have access to the school that best fits their child. The 2028 race for the presidency will not be won by the meek, but by the bold." broadandliberty.com/2025/07/22/mar… via @broadandliberty

We said it and we meant it. We wish parents didn’t call us begging for help. We wish we weren’t needed. But we are to fight alongside families who feel they have no place to turn in PA’s education system. We will make change for them and their children.
PA routinely fails children with disabilities in the K-12 education system, literally forcing them out to alternative education models - if the family can afford the attorney needed to fight for it. The @pde is ineffective and non-responsive. You refuse to meet with parents…

Rep. Marc Anderson is a firm advocate of school choice & adds an interesting perspective on the issue: he was an administrator and teacher for some 27 years in public schools. He thought of school choice programs as lawmakers discuss the state budget. (4th of 4) @RepMarcAnderson
"School choice has long been documented to improve student academic results in private and public schools, increase parent satisfaction, and strengthen racial and ethnic integration...Of the more than 200 empirical studies on school choice in the last three decades, 86 percent…
School choice is the right thing to do for America's children(INCLUDES district schools, btw!). Forces at play disagree & spend lots of money staying true to a system that no longer functions in the interests of kids. Amazing policy & programming info is readily available - 1…
Let's make sure it isn't "delivering pain" to children simply because their parents choose cyber charter education. 🧐 @PAHouseGOP @PaHouseDems @PaSenateDems @PASenateGOP post-gazette.com/news/politics-…
Not a coincidence.
“Your child has depression and ADHD and exhibits signs of being suicidal, but the prisonlike school we force them into seven hours a day definitely has nothing to do with that at all.”
Thanks for highlighting this, @Riley_Gaines_ Not sure the guy who helped the child is, but he had an important part. They worked together to help the toddler climb the hill, all the while the "helper" looking at dad ensuring not to infringe on his rights as a parent (and to not…
This is a man who’s got his priorities in order. He won before he ever stepped onto that course. Congrats!
"we cannot retreat into our respective echo chambers...This all-of-the-above approach means... [including] traditional public schools, private schools, charter schools...homeschooling, microschools and any other platform that effectively educates our kids."…
