Aracena is an interesting arm for sure. Some good stuff as I have highlighted He likely would’ve been in the 25-27 range in the system in an updated top 30 for me A good shot on a power arm for BAL and one the Mets could afford to risk
Did we overpay? Couple of the big prospect guys in this space like Wexler and Dove didn’t seem to love this deal
The Mets have traded RHP’s Wellington Aracena and Cameron Foster for LHP Gregory Soto per @martinonyc Soto is perfect for what the Mets need. A second lefty with big swing & miss stuff Aracena was a prospect I highlighted in June with good stuff. A good flier for BAL
I don’t see any real point to trade Marte He’s a key person in the clubhouse, he hits lefties which is a problem here Also, I can’t imagine Mets are offered anything of real value for him

Right-hander Jonah Tong tonight for Double-A Binghamton: 5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 6 K. Threw 79 pitches (53 strikes) with 17 swings & misses Tong’s ERA stands at 1.72 and he continues to lead MiLB in strikeouts (138 in 89 innings)
