Promoting Rights and Justice (PRJ) in The Gambia Activity- implemented jointly by the American Bar Association (ABA) and Freedom House (FH) and funded by USAID.
Exciting News🎉We're happy to share that PRJ has awarded five CSOs funding to implement projects on various intervention areas across the country. Through PRJ,these CSOs will conduct issue-based advocacy campaigns to champion marginalized perspectives in the T.R processes.

FH, with support from @USAID through the PRJ Gambia activity, commenced a two-day capacity-building training for staff and board members of NBR Community Radio in Kerewan.This sets to enhance their understanding on tools and principles of community radio management and programing

The Ministry of Information is currently orienting 10 aspiring journalists from UTG for work placements at major TV stations in The Gambia. The initiative supported by Freedom House intends to place 30 in total.
Though d @PRJ_Gambia sponsored School Outreach Program at the School for the Deaf and Mute in Brikama, we engaged students about the 16 Days of Activism campaign. Increased awareness/understanding of GBV, its implications & importance of speaking out were key takeaways.

These revised rules aim to streamline civil litigation processes, reduce delays, and ensure timely delivery of justice, ultimately fostering greater public trust and confidence in the judicial system, to create a more user-friendly system for legal practitioners and court users.

FH INTRODUCES ITS NEW MENTEE Sarata Ceesay, a final year Political Science major at the University of The Gambia and the female representative of west coast region in National Youth Parliament, is one of our CSO mentees for the new batch of our six months Mentorship program.
