Recently, our PhD students Emilee Benos and Trisha Kerai attended the Hosts, Pathogens and Global Health PhD Programme Retreat at the Crieff Hydro Hotel in Perthshire. Emilee and Trisha both presented their work to their peers.

Last week, our undergraduate Yue presented her research on the relationship between #antibiotic #resistance and control of neglected tropical diseases (#NTDs). Yue’s findings suggests that eliminating NTDs can be harnessed as an antibiotic #stewardship strategy.

Payton Covelli recently joined P.I.G as a Masters by Research in Infectious Diseases student! Payton will be working on characterising schistosomiasis diagnostic #peptides, immunoepidemiological serum profiles, and investigate & evaluate current #schistosomiasis diagnostics.

Yesterday, @EdinburghUni @SBSatEd undergraduate Jack presented his findings from his research on #antibiotic #resistance in control & treatment of neglected tropical diseases. Antibiotic use particularly in mass drug administration can lead to selection of resistant strains.
