Human survivability at its absolute limit in #Asia currently: #Thailand, #Myanmar, #Cambodia, #Vietnam, and the #Philippines. All hit temperatures above 40°C, with some places experiencing an incredible life-threatening heat index of up to 52°C.

The effects of climate change will reach every corner of this civilisation—whether you’re paying attention or not. "Only 3 years left – study warns the world is running out of time to avoid the worst impacts" theconversation.com/only-3-years-l…
Dr. Ye Tao presents the science behind sustainable global cooling—why we need surface reflectors, why energy limits matter, and why adaptation can't wait. 📺 Watch now: youtube.com/watch?v=jo4ImW… #ClimateAction #GlobalCooling #MEER #HeatResilience
Incredible temperature anomalies in the Arctic Circle — especially around Scandinavia — with temps up to 8°C above normal. Ecosystems in this region aren't accustomed to temperatures above 30 °C At this rate, "Santa" will need sunscreen more than thermals. #ClimateCrisis #Arctic

Many claiming the summer of '76 was as hot as recent years. These images should clarify that is not the case: June 1976 vs June 2025 global temp anomaly. Since 1976, an estimated 1.5 trillion tonnes of CO₂ have been emitted from human activities. This is a new #climate

Western Europe just had its warmest June ever — avg temp of 20.49°C, a staggering 2.81°C above the 1991–2020 norm. Nearly 3°C above normal… during a La Niña year!! Warming is accelerating, and W Europe is under a huge threat.

Most of France, the UK, Ireland, and even Norway will be baking under temperatures 8°C+ above normal this Saturday. Meanwhile, flooding is predicted in large areas of Eastern Europe simultaneously. Climate trends are moving towards increasing instability.

Dr. Ye Tao, Founder and Executive Director of MEER, discussed the energy and material constraints of #SustainableCooling at a MEER event during the #LCAW2025. The full presentation can be accessed here: youtube.com/watch?v=jo4ImW… #ClimateAction #ClimateMitigation #GlobalSouth
Watch Prof. Steve Keen expose the flawed economics of climate inaction in his talk “The Appallingly Bad Economics of Climate Change” at MEER's event for London Climate Action Week 2025. A must-see for rethinking the planetary crisis. 🔗 youtu.be/qxqf1IzDIhk?si…
The Mediterranean Sea is now measuring off-the-scale warmer than anything we've ever seen before for this time of year. If this trend continues, the consequences for marine life and ecosystems in the region will be devastating.

The Med is running a fever 🌡️—on July 5, it hit incredible high surface temperature anomaly. Some areas off the French coast (in purple) are over +7 °C above normal, peaking at +7.7 °C. The marine Ecology in this region will be cooked #ClimateCrisis #MarineHeatwave

In 2015, the WMO released imagined 2050 weather forecasts—scorching, extreme, alarming. They were meant as warnings. Now, in 2025, those forecasts are already here. The heatwaves have arrived - 25 years early. #ClimateCrisis #Heatwave

What does climate justice look like on the ground? In Kroo Bay, Sierra Leone, simple reflective roofs are transforming lives — reducing heat, improving health, and creating jobs. Watch the short film: vimeo.com/1098785626?sha… #ClimateJustice #GlobalSouth #MEERProject
