Shout out to PATHS Scholar, Nhi, for receiving the Undergraduate Student Award at UC San Diego’s API Heritage Celebration! This award was given to honorary undergraduate students that demonstrated a commitment to raising educational awareness on the AAPI community here at UCSD!
Shout out to Dr. Abhishek Saha, a professor at UC San Diego in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, for presenting his research in fluid dynamics, combustion, and the fundamental physics of engineering systems to our PATHS Scholars!
Shout out to PATHS Scholars Kathy and Andrea for starting their summer internship at @ljiresearch this week! They were welcomed into the LJIdea Program with a white coat ceremony where they met fellow interns and mentors!
Last month, PATHS hosted a PATHS Senior Sendoff to celebrate our incredible graduating class! Surrounded by fellow scholars, PATHS staff, and UC San Diego alumni, we honored their achievements and wished them well as they embark on their next chapter. Congrats, Class of 2025!
The PATHS Scholars Program had the honor of featuring Dr. Ashley Juavinett (professor in Neurobiology at UCSD) in our recent faculty chat, where she shared her journey in STEM and covered her time as an undergrad, Ph.D. student, and how she got to her role as a professor!
Congrats to P6 Scholar, Gaby, for her poster presentation at the Cognitive Neuroscience Society 2025 Annual Conference in Boston! Her research at the Voytek Lab at UCSD uses electrical stimulation to investigate the causal role of aperiodic neural activity in working memory.
Shout out to our PATHS Scholars for presenting at the 2025 Undergraduate Research Conference at UC San Diego. Our scholars presented their research in Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Bioengineering, Data Science, Chemical Engineering, Public Health, and more!
Special thanks to Edward P. Junkins, Executive Director of UC San Diego’s Student Health and Well-Being department for his presentation on Success & Personal Branding. His interactive workshop provided Scholars with strategies on constructing their personal brand!

Last month, the PATHS Program welcomed Dr. Sophia Tsai, the Assistant Director of the Undergraduate Research Hub at UC San Diego, to present on "Writing an Abstract for Conference Presentation." Big thanks to Dr. Tsai for a wonderful workshop and her continued partnership!
The PATHS Program had the privilege of welcoming Lita Shon-Roy, MS/MBA to provide an alumni talk for our PATHS Scholars. Lita currently serves as the President, CEO, and founder of TECHCET!
On January 27th, hosted its 2nd Annual PATHS Scholars Program Networking Event. Our networking event aims to bring PATHS Scholars together with a diverse community of industry professionals, community leaders, and esteemed faculty members!
