Walk through Khyber Pass in Stromness.

I have always had an interest in the geology of Orkney. We are predominately sedimentary red and yellow sandstone. 450 MYA in the Devonian Era, Orkney was south of the equator under a gigantic freshwater lake know known as Lake Orcadie.

I met a photographer called Mark from an Icelandic company called ‘Under the Lights’ on the Brough of Birsay today Mark took this epic shot of a puffin in flight.
