A standard eight-year, $45M deal would carry an AAV of $5.6M, but Jackson Blake's will be closer to $5.1M, because of deferred money. Deferred money is outlawed in the next CBA, so the contract got done now. The young man earns long-term security, and the #Canes save cap room.
