Interview by @laurenamonaghan sees one of Reform's councillors unable to answer some questions and reading from sheets of paper for others.
NEW: 'No idea, genuinely': Watch as Reform economic chief gets confused over existing relationships between Notts County Council and regional leaders. Cllr James Walker-Gurley, a new Reform cabinet member in Notts, sat down with us last week. It didn't go well. @laurenamonaghan

It ain't a bad gig being a commissioner. Nottingham City Council's lead commissioner got £160k last year for 134 days work. He's now taking on the same gig in Birmingham, which he'll do in addition to his Nottingham role and which could pay the same. nottinghampost.com/news/nottingha…
The fact that Hillingdon seemingly can’t see what an appalling look it is to blacklist a journalist smacks of a very out of touch local authority.
For 2 months I have received online trolling when reporting on Hillingdon Council. Now, the council are making similar “bias” complaints - because they don’t like my scrutiny. Last week, I was blacklisted by the council - who now refuse to engage with me👇 mylondon.news/news/west-lond…
These £3k banners were put up to advertise a project which didn’t have full funding. They were then taken down in under a year amid weather damage. Still in storage, Reform says the banners aren’t going back up until the project is actually confirmed. nottinghampost.com/news/local-new…
"Smaller, older, and less well-located schemes may consider exiting the market altogether." The city council's leader says Nottingham's student accommodation market is "cooling" amid falling international students. More on @nottslive below. nottinghampost.com/news/nottingha…
"We get the impression that they are prepared to throw us to the wolves." I spent some time with farmers for @nottslive to discuss how the government's planned tax changes could seriously harm their way of life. nottinghampost.com/news/local-new…

Five towns being absorbed by Nottingham city could be a new option in a boundary shake-up. West Bridgford, Beeston, Hucknall, Arnold & Carlton - says the neighbouring Broxtowe leader. The city says this isn’t officially proposed👇 #LDReporter nottinghampost.com/news/nottingha…
Reform UK has saved over £100k on pay to councillors, partly by not filling as many roles as they could have done. The pay of the council's top team will remain unchanged, with Reform leader Mick Barton paid £56,000. More on @nottslive below. nottinghampost.com/news/local-new…
BREAKING: Reform UK have lost a Nottinghamshire County Council seat they won just two months ago. A by-election was called after Reform’s councillor quit six days into his post. The Conservatives have now just won the seat back. @JoeLocker96 at tonight’s count.
BREAKING: Cllr Keith Girling, given a second chance at reclaiming his seat from Reform in a by-election, has won back his seat by just 8 votes. @nottslive #LDReporter
Single digit close!
We've a recount. I'm hearing it is incredibly close - single digit close.
Conservatives appear to have thrown the kitchen sink at this by-election. Keith Girling only lost by around 150 votes to Reform UK last time around.
Reform’s new councillor in Newark quit after 6 days. He left residents with no voice and abandoned those who put their trust in him. So I was in Newark today backing Keith Girling, a respected veteran and active member of the community who will ALWAYS stand up for Newark West.
Senior Conservatives watching tonight’s by-election very closely. The result is expected from midnight, but keep an eye on updates from @JoeLocker96 as Reform see if they can hold onto the seat they won just two months ago.
Robert Jenrick has just arrived.
Nottingham City Council is hiring a director on up to £105k to work on local government reorganisation. PwC are already getting paid by the government to work on this in Notts - £90k so far. Nice work if you can get it, etc. More on @nottslive below. nottinghampost.com/news/nottingha…

Nottingham's tram operator is having to run services less often because so much of its fleet is being repaired. Crashes and vandalism are among the issues that have caused the timetable change, which begins tomorrow for four weeks. More on @nottslive. nottinghampost.com/news/nottingha…
