17yo reading N.D. Wilson. 16yo just raided the embroidery basket, not sure why yet. 14yo is attempting to make caramel sauce from scratch. 2yo is eating cereal while walking back and forth watching siblings.
Dropped 16yo at the thrift store while I was out running an errand, pick her up and she’s scored Nikes in her size, plus parachute pants and athletic shorts for $11 total. She’s a pro at watching the tag colors and getting everything at half price!
Brother-in-law is changing his oil in the driveway and is assisted by / teaching two teens, while the 2yo gets in the way and asks many questions about why the car is peeing.

There are many things that help when you’re outnumbered by small children. Paper plates, box mac n cheese, having a friend w/kids over, a fenced yard, a movie so you can nap on the couch. One thing that never helped me is having a bad attitude about how hard things are.
