“Fat bags of crap, these lads, all they do is drink and eat McDonalds”: David Flatman.
To be fair to Lions, they weren’t playing the Boks.
A few things can be true at the same time: – Australia bottled a 14-point lead – Dan Sheehan hurdled a man and scored – Jac Morgan’s clear-out was… generous – Andrew Porter scrums at a 45° angle – The Lions still couldn’t beat the Boks 🇿🇦 #AUSvLIO #Lions2025
But……he DID dive.
🗣️ "It is disappointing that they say that." #Lions2025 #LionsRugby 🇦🇺 Wallabies issue response to allegation that Carlo Tizzano 'dived'. planetrugby.com/news/wallabies…
It is still worth noting what an overhyped achievement 🦁 Lions winning a test series in 🇦🇺 Australia is. 🏴 England won 3-0 there in 2016 by clearer margins vs an 🇦🇺 Australia ranked top 4 in the world at the time having won 7 of their last 9 games vs Tier 1 the year before and…

Just realised the Lions tour is still on and therefore I’m still an Andrew Porter supporter. I withdraw my Tweet and apologise for any confusion.
Andrew Porter is the best sideline to sideline scrummager in the World right now.

#RugbyScoop | 🧵 Catching up on the Lions/Wallabies games. Andrew Porter is one lucky man to be honest, I don’t know how he keeps getting away with this type of angle in the scrum #Wallabies #LionsTour #lionsvswallabies
Anyone know if Longleat has any springboks?
I'm pretty sure only the guys with both Lions and Springboks in their backyard get to make that assessment.
I think this guy is literally referring to the animals, in which case, I’m not sure he’s correct.
A Springbok🦌 is Greater than a "lion".
There are niche Twitter accounts and then there is this one.
Stat of the Week: Ireland holds the record for the most flights booked home by a Tier 1 rugby nation after the Quarter-Finals With players, coaches, support staff, media, we estimate a total of 60 return flight reservations per Quarter-Final exit 480 return flights since 1987
Mr Roar knows full well that were the situation reversed and it had been Tizzano clearing out Morgan, the Aussies would be in “nothing to see here” mode and we’d be doing the whinging.
Law 9.20 confirms Carlo Tizzano had rights over the ball, and should have been awarded a penalty. But the Lions' propaganda machine and the UK media are making a mockery of player welfare with the 'Aussie whingers' card. theroar.com.au/2025/07/28/gas…
There are a couple of criticisms that can be levelled at Itoje, although it would seem churlish to do so right now, but work rate?! That’s just perverse.
Low work rate! Slow 2 work back behind the ball, stands on the soft side of the ruck, rolls around players in an attempt to drag them 2 ground, slow 2 react when others make his tackles for him & they get the blame if not quite there. McCarthy, Chessum, Beirne work much harder.
Bless him, I think Matt thinks he’s come up with an original line.
The British and Irish and NZ Lions are looking strong
Maro Itoje is a much better British and Irish Lion than Eben Etzebeth. There, I said it.
Still Eben>>>> Eben owns him.
There have been a lot of Tweets from Down Under on how unlikeable Maro Itoje is. In unrelated news, Maro Itoje has just lead the Lions to a test series victory in Australia.
Can you imagine the howls of outrage if this had been the headline in a British or Irish newspaper?! I don’t want to hear any more whinging about the UK media ever again.
Back page of the Sunday Telegraph. Any publicity is good publicity, right?
Australian guy says ref didn’t nail it.
British guy says ref nailed it
No idea how a South African and a New Zealander have managed to make the 2025 Lions tour about them but they’ve done it. Fair play.
If wishes were fishes, the world would be an ocean.
Some people do love a funeral.
90,000 people were there! Crazy that's considered the death of rugby
We go live to the Six Nations…..
Can’t wait for the @SanzarTRC to kick off. The World Champion Springboks. The All Blacks under Razor, finally firing on all cylinders. Argentina who already took down “the greatest” Lions team ever & this fired up Wallabies side. The greatest rugby competition outside the World…
I think both real lions and real sharks would be confident to win at home.
Can we ever see real lions v real sharks?
