Back in August 2023, our fans spent hours cleaning Roots Hall, not knowing if we would have a club to watch that season… 672 days later, we fought for promotion in a NL play-off final. It may not have gone our way, but today we can all be immensely proud to be a Shrimper 🔵⚽️
📆 Today marks one year since Takeover Day and the arrival of COSU. 📺 It's been quite the journey since then...

Proud to be from Southend, proud of the @shrimperstrust and to be part of a community that digs deep, works hard and looks out for each other. Not the fairytale, but great to have a spotlight on the spirit of our city.
Seeing that TIFO today made me a bit emotional. So close to losing the club. I hope “never give up” can be incorporated into the next shirt. It’s a great club motto
