My father’s dream was rooted in more than hope. He understood that "love without power is sentimental and anemic," and that building the Beloved Community requires ongoing and steadfast democratic action.
Leadership doesn’t come from above. It starts with us. With 'No Kings' we proved that. But protecting democracy is not a one-and-done assignment. As my mother said, it is a generational endeavor.
Peace, justice, and equity are not achieved overnight. They are built through persistence, courage, and collective action.

True, lasting change requires more than moral outrage. It requires organization and unshakable persistence. Most importantly, it requires love.
