Source: Several OVC schools have been in recent talks with several different conferences about realignment.

SEMO and Brad Korn have agreed to a contract extension which will go through the 2029-2030 season, per sources. This is big news for SEMO fans as Korn has led SEMO to have some solid teams in the past couple of years and he currently holds the program record for conference wins.

Tennessee State now has an open head coach position. Head coach Brian "Penny" Collins has stepped down to accept an NBA coaching position, effective immediately.

Lindenwood and Southern Indiana have both earned full NCAA Division 1 membership. Both can now compete in NCAA Division 1 postseason tournaments, effective August 1, 2025.

SEMO (@SEMOMBB) is projected to make March Madness as a 16 seed.

Lindenwood will be a team to look out for in the OVC next season.

SEMO gets a portal addition in Landren Blocker. Blocker is a 6’5 freshman who averaged 5.4 points per game in 13 games this past season and also had 3 steals and 3 blocks as well. Nice get for SEMO.

SEMO will play at Saint Louis on Monday November 3rd as part of its 2024-25 non-conference schedule per @madeformarch. $100,000 buy in game guarantee.

Tarence Guinyard, UT Martin guard, has entered the transfer portal. Guinyard started in 28 games this past season for the Skyhawks. He averaged 16.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. This is a significant loss for UT Martin.

Jadis Jones, Lindenwood guard, has entered the transferred portal. Jones averaged 12.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists this past season. This is a significant loss for Lindenwood as Jones was the second leading scorer for the Lions.

Jeremiah Talton announces that he will return to Lindenwood next year. Talton was unable to play at all this past season but in the 2023-2024, he averaged 7.0 points and 2.8 rebounds. I’d look for a big offseason from Talton and he will be a player to keep an eye on next year.
