The lack of accessible toilets for the public is a major issue in every major city and it impacts everyone negatively, to spite the homeless population. We all get burned. To spite disabled people. We all get burned. When access is given to the “least” of us it helps all of us.
Coworkers were complaining that they had heard about people pooping on the sidewalks downtown & I said that was bc they're homeless & there are no public bathrooms & one person said "they still shouldn't be doing it" & I said "I guess we could just kill them" & everyone got quiet

your modern leftist is indistinguishable from your modern nazi
yeah, so the responses to this are demonstrating my point exactly- hostility over something i didn’t say, that you made up in your head, a weird inability to acknowledge ableism in leftist spaces, and dismissing disabled people when they speak about ableism.
and saying “well, the conservatives want you DEAD, so GOOD LUCK WITH THAT, you’re fucking insane” in response to a disabled person talking about the rampant ableism in leftist spaces? not a good look at all!
some of you have bad reading comprehension, so: nowhere at any point did i say the right is any better. nowhere. at all. you made that up in your head. there is an ableism problem on the left. saying that does not mean i think the right is better. i am not talking about them.
you do not understand very basic things about disability and very common experiences in disabled peoples’ lives, and you refuse to listen to disabled people when we tell you. y’all just mock disabled people and contribute to further oppression
it is very, very clear a lot of y’all on the left do not spend time with many disabled people or have many disabled friends.
I don't know how true this is, but it FEELS LIKE there has been a shift in the door dash discourse where it went from "well I wasn't considering/talking about disabled people" to "I am actively shitting on and suggesting instituionalization for disabled people"
in the nicest way possible…. why would u do this. i wouldnt even drive the 2 hours to nyc without tickets
HELLO :) me, my sister and our bestfriend are flying oversees from sweden to new york for the deluxe shows and we’re still ticketless. if there’s anything you could do about it we would be thrilled 🥲🫰🩵 @gracieshq @rolemodel
STILL ALIVE!! They want us to go silent. They want the world to forget. But we’re still here. Still loud. Still resisting…. If you see this please leave a dot in the comments🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸 gofund.me/af9223cc
What did disabled people do before DoorDash? Many of them died. Most don’t realize getting care for basic needs is expensive and extremely difficult. We literally have a Disability Day of Mourning for disabled people murdered by caregivers and parents. That’s how common it is.
I’m tired, but not of wearing a mask I’m tired of being one of few to adapt to an airborne pandemic I’m tired of people’s refusal to learn or grow I’m tired of history repeating itself I’m tired of receiving hate for protecting my health and urging others to do the same
ableds having their first realization that disabled ppl simply die or suffer deeply without access to many inventions & services extending far beyond DoorDash will never fail to amaze me. like they just learned yesterday some ppl can’t stand, use limbs, etc. incredible stuff
Please don't skip. My son, Mohammed has Down syndrome. His health is getting worse. He's becoming less mobile and thin. He hasn't eaten in four or five days, and no one has donated for two days. Please help us buy flour. gofund.me/af9223cc
A lot of ppl like to demonize the use of delivery services, and for some reason love to get real ableist when disabled ppl in particular talk about their use of it
If you dine in at restaurants you actually don't have the moral high ground to say that ppl using delivery apps - for whatever reason - just want "treat servants"
