While this is true, CFB can hire someone & call them a commissioner, but unless they have actual power, including a power to punish & impact a school’s $$$, that person is just a glorified spokesperson.
What's not hard is figuring out that every conference is autonomous and can do whatever they want. Until there is a commissioner or governing body to implement a standardized system, that's what it's always been and could continue to be.
