Came to @NonameBooks for the conversation and left with two new reads. A double win 😁😁😁
Today was such a blast !!! Tales of horror, history, heritage Digested with pancakes and tea Belly laughing and witty jokes Pondering sighs and communal grief Over danticat's book of loss and survival (krik? krak!) If home is where the heart is Then @nonamelagos is mine
This July, we’re reading Krik? Krak! by Edwidge Danticat — a tender, haunting collection of stories on love, loss & resilience. Join us for reflection & community. 📍 The Mart Park, Ogba 📅 July 27 | 🕚 11AM #NonameBookClubLagos #KrikKrak #ReadWithUs
We came together, we read, we felt. Krik? Krak! reminded us why we gather — to hold each other through story. Thank you for being part of it. 📚🖤 #NonameBookClubLagos

🧵: We're excited to share that #NewOrleans now has its own @NonameBooks (NNBC) chapter, with its monthly meet-up taking place this Saturday at the John Thompson Legacy Center for 1PM! Each month a book written by a Black author is chosen and discussed.
Together, we shared food, stories, and reflections on Blessings by Chukuwuebuka Ibeh: a coming of age story of a boy but also the coming of age of a country and a society, showcasing how beliefs and norms develop over short and long periods of time.
On the last day of June, the Wona Collective garden became a gathering space for the very first @NonameBooks book club meeting in Lilongwe.
For any and everybody. Read it, re-read it, tell your mama, aunty, cousin, neighbors to read it.
