Most people know Jarrod Saltalamacchia for his 12-year MLB career. But now, he's adding to his legacy as a coach in the Cape Cod Baseball League, where he'll serve as the Falmouth Commodores' new manager in 2025. My story for @FalCommodores: capecodleague.com/falmouth/news/…

FINAL: Brewster 5, Falmouth 2 Despite loading the bases in the ninth, Falmouth drops its third in a row to move it to last place in the West, out of a playoff spot at the moment. The 'Dores produced six hits and made two errors, contributing to the loss.
BOT 7: Brewster 5, Falmouth 1 Osterhouse scores on an error by third baseman Maddox Mihalakis, putting the Commodores on the board.
Mitch Dye comes out for his second inning of work in the seventh. It hasn't been as clean, though. Justin Osterhouse was plunked with one out, then he steals second to set up Falmouth.
TOP 6: Brewster 5, Falmouth 0 After Palmer plunked Brendan Lawson, an Adrian Lopez error allows Scott Newman to score from second.
TOP 6: Brewster 4, Falmouth 0 Scott Newman belts a two-run double into right center, doubling the Whitecaps' lead and breaking the game wide open.
After his blowup in the fifth, Palmer struggles again to open the sixth. Carson Kerce grounded a single up the middle, then Jacob Jarroll bloops another over shortstop to get Brewster started again.
Cayden Brumbaugh reaches on an error by third baseman Maddox Mihalakis, but reliever Jack DeTienne gets Justin Osterhouse to fly out to center to keep this game at 0-0.
Falmouth has two runners on for the second straight inning in the fourth. Ryan Zuckerman (@GTBaseball) reached on a Dalton Wentz error, then Bear Harrison (@AggieBaseball) singled to left with one out. That forced Brewster to make a call to the bullpen.
Coats got Carson Kerce to fly out deep to center field, then struck out Jacob Jarrell to strand two more runners on base.
Coats trotted back out in the fourth and has reached a bit of trouble. He allowed a Maddox Mihalakis leadoff single, then hit Collin Priest with one out.
