Missouri's AG claims chatbot rankings of presidents on anti-Semitism amount to "fraud" meriting a state investigation. By that logic, any historian offering opinions about historical figures in a book could face liability. Just more censorship disguised as consumer protection.

Federal government ownership of TikTok would mean the government must moderate user content on the platform consistent with the First Amendment. What the government is really purchasing is a 4chan competitor.
U.S. COMMERCE SECRETARY LUTNICK SAID HE BELIEVES THE TIKTOK SALE WILL GO THROUGH AND THAT THE U.S. WILL END UP PURCHASING THE PLATFORM.
Let me rephrase for you: President Trump says he’ll violate the First Amendment because he doesn’t like the Washington Commanders’ new name.
🚨President Trump says he’ll block the new Washington stadium deal unless the team returns to the Redskins name.
Taking a step back: It's incredibly abnormal for an American president to be threatening a lawsuit against a news outlet. Most of Trump's suits – against ABC, CBS, the Pulitzer Board, etc – were filed before he returned to the White House.

Kudos to the WSJ team who resisted legal threats from the president to do journalism about the president.
This letter to the FCC chair rightly calls out the agency's political double standard — it's investigating CBS's Harris interview but ignored Fox's editing of a Trump interview. The answer isn't to probe both. It's to stop partisan investigations of news coverage altogether.
Don't fall for the rebrand. Censorship by a different name is still censorship. Me in this week's @Variety cover story:
