We're responding to reports of a suspected track defect between Barrhill and Girvan. Engineers are on their way, but until we're able to inspect the track, the line between Girvan and Stranraer is closed. We'll share another update soon. @ScotRail

📢 The eastbound A8 Greenock Rd at Langbank will be closed each night from 22:00 on Sat 13 Sept until 08:00 on Thurs 25 Sept for essential railway bridge repairs. These will be overnight closures only. A signed diversion will be in place. @SWTrunkRoads | @trafficscotland

Engineers are attending Carnoustie station where we’re dealing with a cable hanging down from a bridge over the railway, obstructing the track. Trains are running at a slower speed through the area until this has been dealt with. @ScotRail @LNER @CrossCountryUK
