I’ve heard a lot of criticism of high-profile athletes for “pulling up the ladder behind them” by withholding from young people the opportunities they received. Christian, don’t “pull up the ladder behind you,” by withholding from young believers the grace you received.
The phrase “transgender treatment” here is bizarre. You’d naturally assume it means that *transgenderism* is a disorder that requires treatment. But the @nytimes means exactly the opposite: they think biological sex is the disorder and that *it* needs to be treated.
