It’s amazing how so many people will drive *all the way up to* a big red ‘road closed’ sign before they realise that the road ahead is indeed closed and they can drive no further. I wonder if they think it will magically disappear if they get to three feet in front of it…

It’s the Ironman triathlon where I live today. I don’t know about being an ironman but you need to be superman to navigate all the ‘closed-at-this-time-open-at-this-time-closed-again-at-this-time’ road closures in the area.
