Portions of central and south central NE could see severe thunderstorms throughout the evening and overnight hours. Wind gusts could reach up to 60-70+ mph. Strong winds can knock down power poles, trees and unsecured objects. Travel may be difficult for high profile vehicles.

Watch for pedestrians! Remember to slow down and stay alert at crosswalks.

DESIGNATED DETOUR: I-80 near Elm Creek A detour is in place to maintain emergency access and reduce delays in the event of a crash or incident near the work zone. WB/EB traffic will be diverted using N-44 S to US-34 W and N-23, then north on US-283 and vice versa.
