When a Yemeni challenges flawed narratives, it’s called “advocacy.” When a Western analyst does it, it’s called “analysis.” The double standard is just a way to silence local voices. I don’t blur the lines. I expose them. If that makes you uncomfortable, deal with it!
I hear you, but I think there is a difference between analysis and advocacy. Concern about undermining the PLC feels like advocacy vs talking about how fragmented it is feels more like analysis. I find @Ndawsari often engages in advocacy that is written as analysis.
