It is difficult to describe the feeling when reading, TOUCHING EVEN, Titulus Regius, the act passed in Richard III's only parliament which set out his claim to throne. It begins "To the high and mighty Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester". In my latest newsletter now.

To write about historic documents is one thing - to TOUCH historic documents and see how the colours shimmer in the light, is another. Also, I think a Beaufort portcullis on Tudor green and white is the coolest thing I've seen. Pictures in the newsletter.

Coming to the newsletter tomorrow, looking back at some of the extraordinary documents I was able to see during a recent trip to the National Archives. This was a beautiful and mind-blowing experience. My followers will get it first thing in the morning!
