Last time Shapiro used the state plane to fly out for a talk show he said, without irony: “I’m not an expert in the D.C. stuff, I try and stay as far away from that as I can. I live in the real world in Pennsylvania, where we have to balance budgets” 🤣 lancasteronline.com/opinion/column…
per @brianstelter, PA Gov. Josh Shapiro, and potential 2028 candidate, will be on Colbert tonight.
For those still keeping score, it's now 174 Tiktoks...and 0 state budget.
Since @GovernorShapiro decided social media fame was more important than delivering a timely state budget, we looked at where his time is being spent: 162 new TikToks. Cringey? Yes. A waste of taxpayer dollars? Absolutely. A good reason for a late state budget? Definitely not.
🚨🚨@GovernorShapiro's $900k social media team is just the start. He’s spending $3 MILLION a year of YOUR tax dollars on a 21-person comms team—a self-promo machine for his political ambitions. Watch below and ask yourself: is this really helping our state?

However, the Congressional Budget Office found that federal Medicaid spending will still grow by 50 percent over the next decade. Only in the world of politics can a multibillion-dollar spending increase be called “a cut.” buff.ly/CVvOn3O

"Medicaid is a broken system long overdue for reform. Work requirements to help healthy adults regain their independence are the first step to ensure Medicaid’s long-term sustainability." buff.ly/AZcyan9
Having reviewed @GovernorShapiro tweets, every single one in the past two weeks touts how awesome he is, or how evil Republicans want people to die. None of them provides information for constituents, it's all taxpayer-funding partisan politics.
"In total, Shapiro’s communications, press, and social media staff cost taxpayers nearly $3 million per year. Twelve of these staffers make more than $100,000 per year, with some earning as much as $190,000." buff.ly/o2dvIIJ

"Over the last decade, the federal government paid as high as $1.1 trillion in improper Medicaid payments. In Pennsylvania, improper payments totaled $2.3 billion. Recently, the Pennsylvania Auditor General found incorrect payments in 12 percent of the audited cases."…
Shapiro's plan? Spending BILLIONS more than revenues so he can claim he's "getting stuff done" – and you will foot the bill. If @GovernorShapiro gets his way, families could face a $2,000 tax hike as soon as next year to pay for his deficit spending.💸💸 CC @NathanBenefield
Here is @governorshapiro - instead of working to complete a state budget - shilling for dollars from out-of-state billionaire campaign donors, while making the claim that he "wants to work across party lines" buff.ly/FBZRANx
