Fun day at IMS on @IndycarRadio. 🏁 Wild race with plenty of chaos towards the end. Goofy weather that was hard to track and predict all afternoon. And ultimately a teenager who is creeping towards “phenom” territory scoring an Indy win.

Indiana’s Chase Briscoe grabs the pole for the Brickyard 400 and his teammate Denny Hamlin crashes out of turn 2 as the final qualifier. Hamlin was fastest in practice but will start 39th tomorrow.

Great charge to 2nd by Corey Day at @RaceIRP tonight. Easily the best he's looked in his very brief Truck/Xfinity career. Nobody had anything for Layne Riggs though. He looked like he could have led 1000 laps tonight.
That turn 1 camera position that looks down the front stretch at @RaceIRP is lowkey one of my favorites in all of motorsports. It’s been fun watching cars haul into 1 on television for decades at that place.

NASCAR Cup practice officially rained out. @IMS closed for the day.
Well…we’ve gone under the ole 30 minute lightning delay right before the scheduled time for Cup Series Brickyard practice to start. Sooooooo that’s a bummer. Hope that’s not a sign of things to come all weekend.
