Our Community Affairs Section, Staten Island, proudly served as instructors in our ESL program, helping participants build confidence and improve their English skills. This week, students celebrated their graduation and shared their excitement to keep learning.




Don't let the hot weather fool you — it was Christmas today in Queens! @NYPDCommAffairs and @CorrectionNYC celebrated Christmas in July, an annual outreach event where the two agencies team up and donate hundreds of bikes and books to young people in the local community.

We always look forward to our annual visit from @SunshineKidsOrg! These brave young warriors—who face cancer with strength and smiles—brought joy and inspiration to the NYPD. We gave them a behind-the-scenes look at how we protect millions across our city.
Our School Safety Division held their 3rd Annual Awards Ceremony, honoring those who go above and beyond to keep students safe every day. We also recognized students and community partners whose commitment strengthens the bond between our schools and the communities we serve.

Last week, along with the @NYPD45Pct and the @NYPD49Pct, we hosted a beach party at Orchard Beach with over 400 kids in attendance. We thank our elected officials and sponsors, whose support made this unforgettable day of unity, joy, and community possible!

School Safety Agent Gil proudly represented our School Safety Division in Taekwondo at the World Police and Fire, bringing home the gold medal! A true example of dedication, discipline, and drive — her victory is more than a medal, it's a message of inspiration.


Earlier this week, at the @NYPD41Pct, we proudly hosted Cooking with a Cop, a hands-on event where students learned practical cooking skills and prepared their own meals. The event concluded with an award presentation recognizing the students’ hard work and participation.




Earlier this week, our Youth Strategies Division, Brooklyn hosted a Sneaker Ball to celebrate the completion of a multi-week program where kids learned sneaker design and 3D printing. The hands-on experience inspired creativity and explored careers in design and innovation.

The NYPD and Community Affairs Bureau hosted the 2025 SYEP Supervisor Orientation last week, preparing mentors to guide NYC youth with job skills, career advice, and real-world experience.



The Community Affairs Bureau teamed up with Evander Childs High School and Supervising Judge Yadhira Gonzalez-Taylor to welcome young scholars into the Bronx Criminal Court- offering a firsthand look at the justice system and the many careers that help it run.
Rain or shine, the race goes on!🏁 Our Community Outreach Division, Brooklyn and Flushing Meadows NYC Soap Box Derby had their qualifying round, where young racers competed for the chance to represent us in Akron, Ohio. We thank our sponsors and dedicated racers for the support!




Our Community Outreach Division, Brooklyn, hosted a "Showers to Empower" event which featured a cleansing station, a medical testing site, a food pantry, and clothing essentials. Thank you, Brooklyn Community Services, The Campaign Against Hunger and all our community partners.
