In episode 9 of DYCD Next Gen, we’re talking about what it means to show up as a young queer person in the workplace, and how SYEP Pride helps make that possible. This program doesn’t just create jobs - it builds confidence to learn how to network and speak up. It creates space.
At the Power Talks: Money Moves That Matter event, women from across NYC shared bold, honest, and hopeful answers to that question. Hosted in partnership with @NYCHerFuture and Step Up, the night was filled with game-changing financial advice and real talk from mentors.
🔥 The stage was on fire at Lincoln Center! Step It Up teams brought the energy to open Summer for the City with powerful performances in Step, Contemporary, and more. DYCD is proud to celebrate the creativity and strength of NYC youth! Huge thank you to @LincolnCenter!!
20 years of afterschool impact in NYC! Programs include everything from arts and sports to STEM and social-emotional learning, all designed to help kids grow creatively, academically, and socially. COMPASS keeps growing with one mission: empowering youth beyond the school day!

Through Inspiring Girls, students spent a day learning from accomplished Asset Management professionals who shared their personal journeys, education paths, and career achievements in interactive workshops designed to strengthen soft skills and support social-emotional growth.

We recently hosted a special screening of The Work, a powerful documentary that takes viewers inside Folsom State Prison in California for a four-day group therapy retreat with justice-involved men and civilians. Directed by Jairus McCleary and All Kings founder Gethin Aldous.




⚾️ Summer Night Lights is officially ON! ⚾️ Now in its third year, we kicked off the season at Elston Gene Howard Field with @Yankees, NYPD Blue Chips Program, @NYCParks, SCAN-Harbor, The Players Allilance, and LG, bringing together 300 youth for the opening day!!
👀 Did you know that five Cornerstone sites were launched during the COVID-19 pandemic? Marcy Community Center opened in Brooklyn. Oceanside Community Center opened in Queens. Mitchell, Millbrook, and Patterson Community Centers opened in the Bronx.

🔥 This year’s Step It Up Finale was one for the books! 🔥 Held at the iconic United Palace in Washington Heights, the show brought together teams from across the city for a powerful night of movement, meaning, and celebration. Thank you to everyone!!
