Dangerous heat continues into early next week, as heat index values near 100 to 107°F. Some days have a 10-30% chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms, which would decrease temperatures in some areas. Heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and dehydration are all hazards.#mowx #kswx

While most places will remain dry, a few thunderstorms may move across southeast Kansas and west central Missouri from Fort Scott, Kansas to Truman Lake. Lightning and locally heavy rainfall are the most likely hazards. #mowx #kswx #ozarkswx
