Cooler temps, dry & mostly sunny skies will kick off the week. High temps will hover in the upper 70s - 80 degrees, with overnight lows dipping into the upper 50s in most areas. Chances for pcpn will return late in the week with dangerous heat indices back with highs in the 90s.

Additional hot & humidity expected Friday with high temperatures in the mid 80s to lower 90s. Heat Advisory issued from 11 AM to 8 PM Friday Hudson Valley from Albany southward, southern Taconics & Litchfield Hills due to feels-like temperatures of 95 to 104 degrees.

Isolated to scattered severe T-storms expected Friday as a cold front crosses the region. The main threats are damaging wind gusts & locally heavy rainfall. Marginal (level 1 of 5) to Slight (level 2 of 5) Risk of severe storms for much of eastern New York & western New England.

Mostly sunny, hotter & more humid today with high temperatures reaching the mid 80s to lower 90s. Heat Advisories are in effect from 12 Noon today until 8 PM this evening for portions of the Hudson & Mohawk River Valleys, where heat indices are expected to reach 95-100 degrees.


Expect a milder night across eastern NY and western New England compared to the previous two, as temps will be near seasonal lows in the upper 50s to mid 60s with a light southerly breeze and variable cloudiness.

Mostly sunny & warmer today after another cool start, with afternoon temps reaching the lower/mid 80s in valleys and 75-80 across higher elevations. Humidity levels should remain comfortable, though slightly higher than Tuesday.

Look for highs in the 70s once again today with comfortable levels of humidity along with plenty of sunshine. It will remain clear and comfortable into tonight as well.

Tonight will be mostly clear and quite cool, with low temperatures ranging from the mid 40s to mid 50s.
