BREAKING: #Sudan: “There is no food. No toilets. No clean water. People are sleeping in the dirt” – NRC’s Sudan Director on Tawila, where 379,000+ displaced people have arrived since April. Cholera is spreading. Aid has run out. Our latest press release: nrc.no/news/2025/july…
Displaced 6 times. Forgotten 6 times. Conflict left schoolgirls in Mijyiga, #Ethiopia, without pads, soap, safety. We distributed dignity kits for 500 school girls which are now helping them return to school, safely & confidently. #GermanFederalForeignOffice #GFFO 🇩🇪.

Six different conflicts destroyed water points. Diseases began to spread. We rehabilitated 10 broken water sources in conflict-hit Mijyiga, #Ethiopia bringing clean water back to thousands & trained 70 people on how to manage water systems. #GermanFederalForeignOffice #GFFO 🇩🇪

After six waves of conflict that left Mijyiga District, #Ethiopia, in ruins, displaced families hid in forests. No toilets. Thanks to our cash support, 120 households are now building their own latrines. #GermanFederalForeignOffice #GFFO 🇩🇪

In Al Fasher, #Sudan, people risk everything to flee, only to find disease, floods, and hunger waiting. Our Advocacy Manager @AgnesMaiV spoke to @BBCNewshour about what is happening in #Tawila. Read more: bbc.com/news/articles/…
#Sudanwar: “Fleeing this place is horrible.” Al Fasher’s siege leaves families starving on one meal a day, if lucky. Those who run find only new threats, cholera, rain, collapsed shelters. This is Sudan’s forgotten war.
In admiration of the brave local responders in Al Fasher in #Sudan; despite the ongoing shelling, blocked aid, and threats to their lives, local responders continue to run communal kitchens that feed hundreds of families every day. They must be protected and supported.

#Sudan: 379,000 people fled to #Tawila. Now cholera is spreading. Food is gone. Children are malnourished. Rain is falling. The crisis is spiralling out of control.
“Before, we could barely afford water and firewood now I buy in bulk."Najat, a mother of 7 in West Darfur, rebuilt her life with a grant from @NRC_Norway & @SwissDevCoop. She revived her late husband’s bakery & employs 11 people. But bread prices are soaring. Many are in need.
Sudan is entering peak hunger season. Famine persists in Al Fasher & Kadugli, access is blocked, children are starving. This is an urgent call from INGOs in #Sudan : open routes, lift all bureaucratic obstruction, fund the response, protect responders. 🔗reliefweb.int/report/sudan/f…
Natalia’s family survived Cyclone Chido last December, but months later they’re still struggling. Aid cuts mean they’re rebuilding with scraps, with a disabled brother and terrified children to care for. #Mozambique's most vulnerable are being left behind. nrc.no/feature/2025/w…

The number of people displaced across the world has doubled in the last 10 years. Yet humanitarian funding has started to decline, leaving millions neglected. Here are the world's most neglected displacement crises ⬇️ brnw.ch/21wT9bd
📍 Sudan. Syria. Colombia. DR Congo. Yemen. Over half of all people internally displaced by conflict & violence live in just these five countries. Many have fled multiple times, many have been displaced for years. They need immediate aid & investments in long-term solutions.
"We fled again & again.” 7 months pregnant, Teresina fled again as #CycloneChido hit Mieze, #Mozambique. She gave birth under storm debris. War pushed them south. The storm met them there. Thanks to USAID, she got shelter. But funding was cut. Thousands remain in need.

This time last year, US $9 billion had been raised globally for humanitarian causes. This year it's down to just US $6 billion. If wealthy nations can afford World Cups, global summits and rising defence budgets, they can also afford to protect the world’s most vulnerable.
#Mozambique: When #CycloneChido hit, Natalia’s roof collapsed. Her paralyzed brother broke his leg. We reached them once with USAID support. But funding was cut. 7 months on, they sleep under torn plastic. No shelter. No help in sight. 620K+ displaced. Thousands still unreached.
