10/10 8am EDT: The Storm Surge Warning along the Florida west coast has been discontinued. There is a danger of life-threatening storm surge from #Milton along the coast from east-central Florida northward to southern Georgia, where a Storm Surge Warning remains in effect.

10/9 10pm EDT: life-threatening storm surge is occurring along portions of the west-central coast of the Florida Peninsula and southwest Florida. Near the coast, the surge will be accompanied by damaging waves. Water levels will remain elevated into Thursday morning.


10/9 5pm EDT: A destructive storm surge accompanied by damaging waves from #Milton is expected along a portion of the FL west coast. Water levels will rise rapidly as the eye approaches & as strong onshore winds on the backside of the hurricane begin as the center makes landfall.


10/9 2pm EDT: A large area of destructive storm surge is expected along a portion of the west-central coast of the Florida Peninsula. If you are in the Storm Surge Warning area, this is an extremely life-threatening situation. The time to evacuate is quickly coming to a close.
