"Provides $6.05 billion in Fiscal Year 2027 advanced appropriations." Indian Country has been calling on Congress to preserve advanced appropriations for the Indian Health Service, protecting @IHSgov from government shutdowns and other changes in federal funding actions.

"Indian Health Service: Provides $8.41 billion for Fiscal Year 2026, including the prior year advance, for the Indian Health Service, which is an increase of $182 million above the comparable Fiscal Year 2025 level." AND ...
