NCPS Language Hub

The @TheDLDMouse has arrived at @NorthwoodCPS and has made a friend. We are looking forward to the DLD mouse spending time with each class and educating them about Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) which affects roughly two children in every average class of 30 in the UK.

We will start our new 'Meet and Greet' welcomes from tomorrow. Which one would your child choose to greet the staff when he/ she enters school?

Please be vigilant at home to ensure our children are safe. Images or merchandise relating to these games/characters are not allowed in school. Thanks for your support. Please speak to our safeguarding team if you have concerns.

This week we had a visit from @Knowsleyclcs During our session, we were introduced to basic coding through physical programming using indi-bots. We demonstrated our ability to solve problems and design suitable routes for the indi-bots whilst improving our computational skills.

Today the children attended an assembly all about Refugees. They learned what refugees are, considered what they would take with them if they needed to flee their country and learned about famous celebrities that were refugees, such as Mo Farah & Rita Ora. #nooutsiders #refugee

Following our assembly, on Tuesday, the children in the Language Hub have focused on being just like Respectful Rafa. Our stars of the week were Mason and Harry T for being very respectful members of our school community. @NorthwoodCPS 👏🏻 ⭐️
