NCEM Hazardous Weather 7.25.25 🥵 A Heat Advisory is in effect today for eastern NC (11 AM - 8 PM). Expect temps in the 90s (some areas 100+) and high humidity. Stay safe and cool by limiting outdoor time, wearing loose clothing, hydrating, and taking frequent breaks.

This week, NCEM hosted Georgetown University's Executive Leadership in Emergency and Disaster Management Course at the State Emergency Operations Center in Raleigh to learn about how the North Carolina State Emergency Response Team prepares for and responds to disasters.

Haz Weather 7.23.25 Today isolated showers and storms remain possible across the mountains and along the NC Coast. 🌧️ As remnants of a cold front retreat northward Thur, showers and storms will increase the threat for isolated flash floods across southern areas.⛈️


NCEM Hazardous Weather 7.22.25 🌧️ Isolated to scattered flash floods remain possible Tue across western NC and southern portions of eastern NC. 😎 A brief period of slightly cooler temperatures and less humid conditions is forecast through Thurs before a warming trend begins.
