Hi! 👋
All. Of. This. If you're angry about the "state of video games" and it's not related to dev layoffs, corporate greed, or toxic working environments, and yes, the suppression of DEI initiatives, then you're angry games aren't made by "straight white dudes" anymore, and it shows.
the truth about DEI and angry grift-tubers

As much as I loved Metaphor ReFantazio, I'm bugged by its politics and how its message ends up being macronist (and how the game fails to talk about politics while presenting a political diegegis). I'm *this* close to make a video essay. Too bad my free time is sunk into Diablo.
MH has been departing from its arcade roots for a while now. It's trying to go more and more toward realism and stereotypical modern experiences (no just with game feel, e.g. voices etc.). Trading a bit of its identity to reach a wider audience?
If you felt like the combat in the MHWilds beta felt "off," it's not just you! As this short comparison video shows, Capcom seems to have reduced hitstop on most (if not all) weapon types in Wilds, leading to some weapons 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 worse than they did in prior games.
ScourgeBringer is turning 4 next week (?!). What would like to know you about it or its making beside the usual numbers galore? I would like to share meaningful insights other than the survivor bias of "it did well". So hit me up with stuff!
Convinced by @on_code , I make myself available for free mentoring. With more than 15 years of experience in animation shows and video games, if you think I can help you avoid the most common pitfalls, and assist you with your indie game project, send me a DM! 🤜💥🤛
