I can’t stop thinking about this after I shared it a few days ago. The education system measures intelligence based on if you can still for 1-2+ hours & how much you can remember. Why not collate all of their work from their KS1 & 2 to give an overall picture of achievement? 📔

This week, we took heads from across the country and year 6 pupils to Westminster. MPs and peers heard the real story of SATs and even tried some questions for themselves. Thank you to everyone who came along!

I did very badly. And was horrified to learn (for pupils) that multipart questions get no marks unless you get all parts right.. How horribly discouraging. Longtime @TheGreenParty policy - abolished SATs

Well done for giving it a go Sam! As our local MP, myself and other parents I know who have had children sit SATs would like you to call for an end to these tests! There are much better, fairer and kinder ways to assess learning for young children.
