Being depressed because the world is on fire, your rights are being taken away, and your loved ones are being put in camps, is not a character flaw and anyone who tells you otherwise is victim blaming.
A lot of so-called "allies" don't realize just how Transphobic they are. And they get upset when you ask them to do better.
Stop telling Trans people that we are overreacting. Everything we've said was going to happen under Trump 2.0 has happened so far. We're not even 7 full months into his term. Things will get worse if you don't collectively do something NOW.
Democrat politicians and influencers still clutch their pearls every time Donnie Boy does anything awful instead of actually doing anything of note to stop him.
ICE's mission isn't American safety. It's ethnic cleansing. It's genocide.
The Republican Elite literally buried their Nazi-fighting parents and immediately began enacting Nazi policies in the US.
Policies like this underline the GOP's desire to bring back child labor. The party of "parental rights" and "pro-life" does not care one iota about children, nor their health. Kids to them are property and an investment which must produce an economic return.
LAWRENCE COUNTY, TN: “Doctors notes no longer excuse absences…” (Under threat of juvenile court intervention) Director of Schools Michael Adkins: “They need to learn reliability and work ethic… we’ve all gone to work sick.” 🤔 Parents: “How does that make sense?”
There's a major problem with victim blaming on the Left. Trans people, disabled people, and Queers who aren't Queer in the "right way" are all told they're the problem way too often, rather than the systems we are all claiming to fight.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but telling a Trans person they shouldn't feel despair right now and that it's "not productive" is victim blaming and not, in fact, a Leftist take.
BEING HOMELESS IS NOT A CRIME BEING HOMELESS IS NOT A CRIME BEING HOMELESS IS NOT A CRIME BEING HOMELESS IS NOT A CRIME BEING HOMELESS IS NOT A CRIME BEING HOMELESS IS NOT A CRIME
Since Trump just signed an EO that allows for the incarceration of the homeless/unhoused and the mentally ill, you may want to protect yourself by not casually talking about your mental illnesses on social media. I'm not saying that alone will get you earmarked for a camp, but1/2
So we all know that Trump is going to use this new EO to jail those he accuses of "Trump Derangement Syndrome," right?
🧵Let's talk about aromanticism! This word confuses a lot of people. Does being aromantic mean someone is incapable of Love? Not at all! At its core, it just means that someone doesn't experience what tends to be defined as typical romantic attraction, but may experience other
If you use therapyspeak in your close, personal relationships, you aren't being an "excellent communicator." You're being a pretentious jerk and only thinking about yourself. Yeah, I said it. (No, this isn't a subtweet. Genuinely.)
Rather than blaming disabled people for using doordash or gopuff, how about we expand social programs to help those in need? Oh right, because it's easier to be ableist piece of shit and blame victims. Got it.
