The Director General of @moecc_somalia, Mr. @AbdirisakAhmed0, and Dr. Abdullahi Khalif from the NDC Partnership held a strategic meeting with @FAOSomalia in Mogadishu to enhance cooperation, share data, and explore joint opportunities in climate and environmental initiatives.

As #AMCEN20 comes to a close, @UNEP Climate Change Director Martin Krause met Somalia’s Minister of Environment @MoECC_Somalia Lt. Gen. Bashir Mohamed Jama to lay the groundwork for #BeCool Somalia, a programme set to advance #passivecooling & #NbS for African cities. 🌳🏡

The Deputy Minister of @MoECC_Somalia , H.E. Hussein Ali Haji, visited Baidoa on a working trip to strengthen collaboration between federal and state institutions in tackling climate change and advancing environmental protection efforts across Somalia.

The @MoECC_Somalia, in partnership with UNICEF, held a national workshop in Mogadishu on youth and children’s role in climate action. Opened by DG Mr. Abdirisak Ahmed Ali, the plan was endorsed to empower young voices for a greener, resilient Somalia.

Today in Nairobi, I engaged in a high-level dialogue with @WMO Secretary-General Prof. Celeste Saulo, alongside Somalia’s WMO Representative Dr. @GuleidArtan. We discussed strengthening cooperation, enhancing climate services, and advancing the establishment of the #SNMA.
