nytimes.com/2025/07/15/opi… via @NYTOpinion. A must read column by a Brown professor, genocide scholar &former IDF soldier on why he believes Israel is committing GENOCIDE in Gaza. Surprised @nytimes published it.
Israel's far right wants to conquer and settle Gaza, expelling any Palestinians in the way. Benjamin Netanyahu wants to stay in power. @Yair_Rosenberg writes about the corrupt political bargain that is prolonging Gaza's war and driving its hunger crisis: theatlantic.com/international/…
Working towards the establishment of a Palestinian state, co-existing alongside Israel, would be the best way to marginalize Hamas and ensure Israel's security.
Hey @thomasjuneau, recognizing a Palestinian state at this moment would not benefit peace, but it WOULD be an explicit signal to terrorists that terrorism works. You NEVER reward terrorism. This isn't the way towards long lasting peace.

4/ For 29 years, all major world leaders have every Israeli Prime Minister, including Netanyahu: don’t dare. Every Israeli Prome Minister refrained from approving E-1. Until now. Netanyahu is about to cross a red line universally laid down by the international community.
1. Taybeh is not "south of Jerusalem. It's northeast of Jerusalem. 2. The person who owns the nearest outpost and who is responsible for most of the violence in this area, is Nerya Ben Pazi. He was sanctioned by Biden's administration, but they were lifted by Trump and Huckabee.
Taybeh is a quiet Palestinian Christian village south of Jerusalem w/ a lot of American citizens that has been vandalized-including fires set at ancient church. I visited there today. Desecrating a church, mosque or synagogue is a crime against humanity & God.

So @Columbia has just adopted the IHRA definition of antisemitism. How many of the Columbia faculty who teach classes on antisemitism do you think support this decision. My guess: Close to None.
