MWM - in our 10th year in indi media. Deepest gratitude for all those who have helped get us here. This story maps out the future, records our business model, plans and case for funding #auspol michaelwest.com.au/nine-years-and… youtu.be/SDyXCS3DyE0?si…
Has any journalist asked @AlboMP @SenatorWong @RichardMarlesMP if the (supposedly) joint controlled intelligence satellite ground station at Pine Gap is collecting information passed on to Israel by the USA for military targeting in Gaza? I mean, that’s what it’s there for
Govt wasting more money stopping public info being public. Climate Change Dept blocking @MrRexPatrick FOIs on endangered Maugean Skate #auspol #ART michaelwest.com.au/groundhog-day-…
Two more gas projects win Fed Environment approval in the last 40 days. They sure are locking it in #auspol @zachariasszumer michaelwest.com.au/more-gas-labor…

Back in the day you were nuthin unless you got a good 'clip over the ear'. Times have changed - The King's School's latest controversy #tonygeorge #auspol michaelwest.com.au/the-kings-scho…
I used to look forward to the @SatPaper & I’m not saying there aren’t worthwhile stories. I know about the owner & his views but I honestly don’t understand how the journalists justify their appalling silence on Israel’s war crimes. Week after week… it’s shocking
I ask the new AI-powered ‘answer engine’ Perplexity the question: ‘Is the state of Israel committing genocide?’ Evidently incapable of making wise judgments, the robot instead offers this fluffy, sneaky, stupidly anti-political non-reply 😭
#scamoftheweek will it be no net zero nutters, Parly 'standards' and core values, or will it be no it couldn't possibly be whatshisname again ... Scomo? #auspol youtu.be/XF_9RBuDupI?si…

Has Jillian Segal blown it? The case to dump special envoys in favour of one social cohesion envoy. Sensible call by Dr Ali Reza Junespour. #auspol michaelwest.com.au/a-trinity-of-e…
The case against online voting
Also online voting - wrong clicks are too easy to do, and once submitted, can’t be changed. Paper ballots allow voters to review then change their mind, ask for new ballot paper , etc. Online would also reduce the spirit of democratic community participation that’s evolved.
Right now Australian soldiers and diplomats are in Jerusalem promoting a two way arms trade. Right now IDF officers are working in Canberra. Right now an Israeli-government entity is fabricating missiles just north of Newcastle. Right now.
"Handwriting is extraordinarily subjective". Is it time to move to online voting ? Michael Buining on the peculiarities of the 2025 cliffhanger in Bradfield #AEC #auspol michaelwest.com.au/time-to-go-dig…
Mayor Fiona Argyle "brought down by a coup .. staged by state govt". Strong editorial by Chris Dore WA News ed-in-chief. #auspol #wapol michaelwest.com.au/hatchet-job-wa…

"How long principles can be maintained under the weight of toeing the party line is a matter of personal quality. When that party line is set by powerful media rather than the membership, at some point, the weight must become too much." Mine for MWM michaelwest.com.au/first-week-of-…
Several years ago I looked at my yearly cost of news in MSM, decided the truth and value was not there and subscribed to several indies including MWM. Much better. Recommended.
The haunted eyes of a starving child: possibly dead by the time you read this. Powerful page 1 not of an anti-Israel or anti-semitic paper but the UK's most conservative. The UN says 80% of Gazans who've died of malnutrition are children. How long will the world let this go on?
First week back Parly - strong piece by @MichaelPascoe01 on Labor, Greens, Coalition, Gaza, AUKUS #auspol michaelwest.com.au/first-week-of-…
Be good if media disclosed Scomo as a weapons and AUKUS lobbyist. (maybe even 'former PM and simultaneously Minister for Health, Industry, Home Affairs, Finance & Treasurer')

Algae politics have ramped up as our leaders realise there’s further devastation to come. But their belated $28M ‘response package’ won’t stop the current bloom, or the next bloom. That will require much more significant action. #saparli #auspol michaelwest.com.au/algae-politics…
