Here’s my plan for energy dominance: - punch solar, batteries, and electric motors while China dominates us - larp as pro nuclear but do little to nothing - classify coal as a critical mineral - claim we’ll help O&G even though production was already at absolute record levels
I'll be live tweeting the Cal Catastrophe Response Council meeting today on the other site if you are interested.
The President needs to keep his most basic foreign policy promise - no more forever wars. Especially wars that the US government did not choose. Remember: There is no end game. “You break it you own it .” How did “regime change” work out last time?
If they occur, these cuts are going to blow a giant hole in the CSU-UC opportunity machine for CA’s (and many other state’s) young people. They would be anti-future, anti-working families, anti-young people. I truly hope the President doesn’t do it. cnn.com/2025/06/06/pol…

I was just looking at the HDWI for the next few days and the drought monitor and thinking, SW fire season is prob going to show up right quick.
Arizona has a fire going: The Turnbull Fire, 50 acres and growing. Geronimo Hotshots have been ordered along with multiple tankers and SEATS.
It was so great to have the opportunity to talk to @HotshotWake about these issues. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

California's SB540 (Becker) - the bill to enable creation of a regional day ahead electricity market for the west including CA - just passed 17-0 out of the Senate Energy and Utilities Committee. That's a very good start for a bill that will improve reliability and affordability.
PJM's data center load growth and hostility to battery storage is now putting grid reliability at risk for 65 million retail customers across 13 states. In a recent near-miss event, "in order to keep themselves online, data centers risked grid reliability for everyone else."
